Bolga baskets are woven from natural elephant grass, which is flexible when damp. If your basket arrives slightly squashed after its journey, it is easy to fix.
How to reshape your basket
- Lightly dampen the basket with water (a quick rinse or spray is enough).
- Gently push it back into shape by hand.
- Stuff it firmly with towels, pillows or cushions to hold the shape.
- Leave it to air dry completely, away from direct heat.

Everyday care
- Trim any stray straws with scissors for a neat finish.
- Dust or wipe with a damp cloth; dry naturally.
- Keep away from heaters, fires, stoves and open flames.
- For pet beds, add a firm foam mattress or cushion for extra comfort.
